The Verse Of Laurie Meintjes
A bit of a bio on myself:
Well, I'm a retired teacher, living in Cooranbong NSW, a small town near Newcastle. I have always been keen on writing verse, especially humorous verse, and have had a few poems published in magazines.
As a younger man I spent many years as a Patrol Officer in New Guinea and this gave me a bit of a feel for the bush and the outdoors.
Ambition: To earn my spurs as a "bush poet" and to have a collection of bush poems published in Australia.
